Work  &  Experience

SAMH Skulls event Co-coordinator and head of PR & Marketing - March 2019- Present

I conducted the open call for artists, manged the emails. Built the website and all social media accounts for this project. I also curated the exhibition and arranged the exhibition space. I arranged all of the press and social media posts for this event and also designed the branding and poster images for the exhibition.

Local Makers Pop Up Shop Edinburgh - Head of Marketing and PR- December 2018- Present

I personally ran and set up all online promotions for the Pop-up Shop as well as curated all online content for our social media pages. This included advertising each artist and designer taking part in the event. Creating listings on a variety of online platforms and arranging press for our opening night.

VinSpace Art Studios- Vietnam Saigon – Internship - May 2017-October 2017

At Vinspace art studios, I ran all of the social media sites and conducted all the marketing for the company. My duties included updating and maintaining the Website, writing blogs that highlighted our classes, workshops, and lesson ideas. I did all the photography and writing for all online platforms; this included managing both the Instagram and Facebook pages.  I also created and organised our digital newsletter, which went out twice a month. My position also extended into advertising for recruitment on an international level.

My role also included teaching and organising Art classes. I taught a wide variety of lessons to both children and adults. I run six art classes a week where I taught sculpture, print-making, drawing, painting, collage and a wide variety of mixed media. I also ran workshops and assisted in art events including the Art Market co-hosted by In-Pages.

Dundee Mini Make Off – Exhibition Curator and event Co-Coordinator- September 2016 & December 2017

One of the founding members of Dundee Mini Make-Off; a small initiative engaging local communities with makers, artists, and designers in an effort to celebrate unique creative communities, increase arts accessibility and introduce people to the benefits of making. Working with a small team on all aspects of the development of Dundee Make-Off including business planning, fundraising, PR, marketing, and audience development. I was the Exhibition Curator and event co-coordinator

NEO Design- Work Experience September 2016- September 2017:

I worked at NEO Designs Dundee where I am trained in basic jewellery techniques. I have furthered my knowledge of precious metals and precious stones. I had the opportunity to assist customers and have gained experience in creating jewellery displays. This also gave me the chance to work on my own jewellery line. This work experience allowed me to gain huge amounts of experience in sales and how to organise and run large events that attract a variety of customers.

Tin Roof - Internship Dundee -September 2015- September 2016:

I was selected for an internship with Dundee’s art collective Tin Roof. This was a year-long internship resulting in my first solo show.  My responsibilities included working on the committee, assisting with exhibitions and events, curatorial work, marketing and PR for all events. I ran and maintained the studio spaces, ensuring all health and safety requirements were met. I also assisted in artist talks and personally arranged events, workshops, and fundraising.

Post-Box Cellar Bar Art exhibition event coordinator November 2015- May 2016:

This was a project I personally set up in Perth to give opportunities to both established and emerging artists to display their work in the area.  I selected the work and installed the exhibition. I also arranged press, PR and live music for the opening nights of these exhibitions. This was a 6-month project.
